Your book is fantastic, and I've recently begun to grow a beard. I'm past the itching stage, it actually didn't itch all that much luckily for me, but I've been shaving down the cheek line. I'd like to stop doing that and let the check line be natural but I worry about it being such a shorter length than the rest of my beard. Should I just let it be? How do you handle "adding" to your beard when one part has such a head start?

It will look a little odd for the stubble stage, but then it will blend in quick. The same goes for a neck line; anytime you let the edges go, it’ll take a few days, but since the growth is at the edges, the tapered look will go away fast. The longer your beard, the longer the blending stage. You might even consider using a beard trimmer to even the whole beard out once the new growth has had some time to catch up.
It’ll look a little “wild,” as in “less tame,” but that’s not always a bad thing. Just remember the 4th Law: Solid, Subtle, and Sharp. If the cheek growth looks good, rock it.
